FAQ
Why does Blue10 index its rates?
Every year, prices of products and services increase. We also see that our costs have risen this year or will rise further in the coming months. This is why we index our fees annually.
Why do we use the CPI?
We use the consumer price index (CPI) because:
- It’s the most widely used index figure in the Netherlands;
- Our type of service does not fall within the Services Price Index (DPI).
Also, our largest cost items (payroll costs and hosting) also rise under the influence the of CPI.
To whom does the indexation apply?
The indexation of our fees is carried out for all Blue10 customers with a Scan & Capture, SME or Enterprise subscription. The indexation of rates also applies to other recurring subscriptions fees of Blue10. The indexation of rates applies to both existing and new customers.
What will change about the subscription prices?
There will be no increase in rates by Blue10. However, we will be implementing an indexation of 3,5% as of February 1st 2025. The entire pricing model of Blue10, after indexation of the rates can be found at the bottom of this page.
When does the price indexation take effect?
Every February 1st there will be an annual indexation.
How do we apply indexation?
When indexing our fees, we follow the consumer price index (CPI), which is calculated month by month by Statistics Netherlands (CBS) which is based on the level of inflation in the Netherlands. Every year in November it will be determined what the annual change of the consumer price index is in the month of October of the current calendar year. This value will be used as a reference point to calculate the indexation of our prices as of February 1st of the following calendar year.
Is Blue10 allowed to index rates?
The indexation of the rates is in accordance with the agreement us use of Blue10. The agreement contains a paragraph on indexation. Our agreement states the following:
‘’Blue10 reserves the right to adjust its prices annually based on the consumer price index (CPI) that is calculated month over month by CBS, based on the inflation level in the Netherlands.
Each November, Blue10 determines the year-on-year change in the consumer price index for October of the current financial year. This value is used as a point of reference to calculate the indexation of our prices as of 1 February of the following financial year. The Customer will be informed in time about the indexation of Blue10’s pricing.’’
